Dr. Hizamar Escobedo
Dr. Escobedo is a proud native of the DFW area, and she has been part of the Marvel Dental team since the start of her career. Her passion lies in creating smiles and helping patients improve their oral health through education and transformative care. Dr. Escobedo is committed to making a difference in her patients’ lives, one smile at a time.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Escobedo’s decision to pursue dentistry stems from her desire to boost her patients’ confidence and self-esteem. She recognizes how deeply a smile can impact someone’s life and feels fulfilled knowing she can help people overcome oral health challenges. Seeing the joy and newfound confidence in her patients is what drives her every day.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Escobedo began her academic journey at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she laid the foundation for her career. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health.
As a member of professional organizations such as the Hispanic Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Texas Academy of General Dentistry, she is dedicated to staying current in her field through ongoing continuing education courses.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Outside of work, Dr. Escobedo enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring new restaurants, and catching the latest movies. Fluent in both Spanish and English, she embraces her unique perspective and uses it to connect with our diverse patient base.
