Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Romero ultimately decided to become a dentist when she was a teenager. Like many kids, she needed braces, which meant she was spending plenty of time in the treatment chair. But instead of feeling nervous, she was always mesmerized by everything happening around her – the precision, the care, the feel of the environment. Seeing how her dentist transformed her teeth for the better (and her confidence in the process) left a huge impression on her! It made her want to do the same for others – and the rest was history.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Romero’s college career started at Miami Dade College and Florida International University, where she completed her Bachelor in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. From there, she pursued her dental doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Following graduation, she also underwent an AEGD residency program at JTCHC to further her skills.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

A Venezuela native, Dr. Romero is lucky to have a very close, loving family with three sisters and one older brother. They and her parents have been her biggest cheerleaders in every stage of life, constantly encouraging her to pursue her dreams. When she isn’t busy at the office, she loves spending quality time with them and her pets, as well as being outside in nature when weather allows. She also enjoys dancing!
